Bachelor of Science in Respiratory TherapyProgram OverviewBachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy is a four – year program consisting of general health science education subjects and professional subjects. The program is designed to equip student with intensive technical knowledge and skills in evaluating, treating and caring for patients with breathing and other cardiopulmonary disorders. The fourth year level is the internship program wherein students will undergo training with rotational duties in different sections of one or more hospitals such as Pulmonary Diagnostics, General Respiratory Care, Adult Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Unit and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Respiratory Therapists practice under the supervision and direction of a physician. They (RTs) assume the responsibility for all respiratory care treatments and diagnostic procedures.
