Program Overview

TESDA Short Term Courses
These courses cover the knowledge, skills and attitudes required in Technical Vocatinal Education and Training (TVET) as per TESDA "With Training Regualations" - WTR compliance. The modules specifically cover the BASIC, COMMON and CORE competencies required in the industry. The student will obtain a National Certificate Level II (NC-2) upon completion of each course.

The Vocational Technology Department has TESDA accredited instructors who are holders of National Certificate Level II (NC-2), Assessment Methodology - Training Methodology (AM-TM) Certificate, Assessors Qualification – Trainers Qualification (AQ-TQ) Certificate, National TVET Trainers Certificate (NTTC), and Assessors Certificate.



Programs Offered

Automotive Servicing

Automotive Servicing (NCI)
This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in the field of automotive servicing in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as; perform gas and diesel tune up, service automotive battery, service ignition system, test and repair wiring/ lighting system, perform under chassis preventive maintenance.

It covers the basic, common and core competencies. This course is also designed to enhance the basic and common knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in the field of automotive servicing.
To obtain this, all units prescribed for this qualification must be achieved.

Automotive Servicing (NCII)
This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in the field of automotive servicing in accordance with industry standards. It covers specialized competencies such as; perform gas and diesel tune up, service automotive battery, service ignition system, Test and Repair Wiring/ Lighting System, Perform Under Chassis Preventive Maintenance, Perform Shop Maintenance, repair charging and starting system, service engine mechanical system, service and repair clutch system, service and repair differential and front axle, Service steering system, Overhaul Manual Transmission, Service Brake System, Repair Suspension System Repair Suspension System. It covers the basic, common and core competencies.

This course is also designed to enhance the basic and common knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in the field of automotive servicing. To obtain this, all units prescribed for this qualification must be achieved.

Electronics and Computer Servicing

Consumer Hardware Servicing (NCII)
This course is designed to develop the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes of a Computer Service Technician in accordance with industry standards. To obtain this, all units prescribed for this qualification must be achieved.

Consumer Eletronics Servicing (NCII)
This course is designed to develop and enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of a Consumer Electronics Technician, in accordance with industry standards. It covers the basic and common competencies in addition to the core competencies such as assembling and disassembling consumer electronic products and systems, maintaining and repairing audio-video products and systems, servicing and repairing electronically-controlled domestic appliances and cellular phones.

Electrical – Refrigeration and Aircon Servicing

Electrical Installation and Maintenance (NC-II)
This course is designed to equip individuals with operational skills in Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC level II particularly in installing and maintaining electrical wiring, lighting and related equipment/systems in residential houses/buildings where the voltage does not exceed 600 volts.

Refrigeration and Air - conditioning (NCII)
This course is designed to equip individual with operational skills in RAC Servicing which installs, services and maintains, troubleshoots and repairs Package-Type Air-conditioning/Commercial Refrigeration units.
