Welcome to the College of Arts & Sciences at University of Perpetual Help System DALTA. We are a community of students and faculty in 4 departments and programs, encompassing the mass communication, political sciences, biology and psychology.
Objectives of the CollegeGeneral Objectives
- To develop liberally-educated individuals who are committed to the deep sense of Christian principles as well as the pursuit of truth, justice and peace.
- To develop individuals imbued with a social conscience and an abiding faith in God and in his fellowmen, whose personal fulfillment is anchored in integrity, professional competence and social concern.
- To develop individuals whose visions and interests are not confined to their field of specialization but also who reach out for the welfare and progress of the society with whom they interact.
Specific Objectives
- To imbue students with strong and sound foundation of the arts and basic scientific knowledge so as to prepare them competently in the pursuit of professional and technological careers.
- To initiate and undertake measures that will make the student more conscious of science as an instrument of national development and progress.
- To motivate, support, promote, and develop scientific research in the college through the holding of lectures, seminars, exhibits and science fairs to achieve this purpose.
- To provide programs for the effective training and utilization of manpower resources for national development along fields of scientific endeavors.
- To promote appreciation and love for the cultural heritage of the country.
- To promote the enduring Filipino Family Values with a sense of national consciousness into meaningful art form.
- To develop the artistic capabilities of students to enable them to translate humanistic values into meaningful art forms.
- To foster spiritual enrichment and deep sense of moral uprightness.

Program Overview
The Department of Mass Communication recognizes the multidimensionality of human intelligence and aspires to form further media practitioner who is deeply rooted in religious faith, appreciative of the worth of each individual, creative, innovative, professionally competent, morally upright, Filipino in character and ideas as well as "a man for others."
This program aims to produce a globally competitive communication generalist who is equipped with life-long learning skills and trained in the different media industries for the development of a just and humane society.
