Philosophy

The College of Computer Studies adheres to the University's Vision to provide a venue for the pursuit of excellence in computer education, information technology and research, and service for education leadership to the UPHSD computer education community and to prepare students, educators and professionals of the highest quality.

Mission

The mission of the College of Computer Studies is to provide an excellent education in the courses offered, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Two-Year Associate in Computer Technology. Its main and ultimate mission is to provide students for careers in the industry, both National and International; and to pursue advanced graduate studies. Upon graduation the students will be able to perform research to provide a teaching environment that emphasizes depth, originality and critical thinking.

Vision

The Vision of the College of Computer Studies is to offer up to date and flexible programs which will allow the graduates to be competitive in the job market, both National and International. The faculty members strives to provide a hands-on approach in teaching computer related courses. In doing so, the College of Computer Studies hopes to be the Center of Excellence in comparison with its neighboring competitors.

Objectives

The College of Computer Studies through its Curricular programs in Computer Science and information Technology aims to produce graduate who shall be:

• Professional Competent and globally competitive.

• They shall be imbued of the "Perpetualite" values committed to the pursuit in the betterment of the quality of life.
